For most Garage Winemakers workspace is at a premium. Our solution is this barrel dolly with heavy duty, 3-inch castors allows you to move the barrel where you want it. We've been using them for years, and they are great. Our wooden barrel dolly is both functional and aesthetic, made from Douglas fir with a finger joint in each corner for added strength. We offer a dolly cut to fit a 59-gallon barrel, and one for a 30-gallon barrel. For better steering control two castors swivel, and the other two are fixed. These are heavy to ship. If you are local, we can arrange for delivery. Let us know.
Please note: this barrel dolly is intended for use only on flat surfaces. Do not use on any inclined surface as your barrel may roll out of control.

Made from food-grade HDPE plastic, these barrels are fantastic for primary fermentation, extended maceration and first settling after pressing. These barrels can also be used to store fresh water or supplies in case of a natural disaster. We source these barrels directly from a food manufacturer who used them once to transport organic tomatoes encased in a plastic bladder inside the barrel. We pressure wash the barrels anyway, and they are ready to use. Included is the 55-gallon barrel, lid with gasket seal, and metal clamp to lock down the lid. These barrels are much easier to move and store than macrobins, stronger and sealable compared to the Brute plastic trashcans. And the best part, much less expensive! At $49 each, they are ideal for the Garage Winemaker. We can arrange for delivery in the San Jose, CA or Peninsula area. Let us know if you would like a bunghole drilled in the top lid. We don’t recommend shipping these barrels due to the high shipping costs.
Here is an effective and low cost version of a barrel washer, perfect for the garage winemaker. It includes a stand with rollers, stainless steel swiveling spray-head with PVC base and hose connector. We use the same spray head that is found on the expensive washers. To use, put your barrel on the stand, and roll it to access the bunghole. Place the spray head inside the barrel and secure with bungee cord. Rotate the barrel to position the bunghole down, so that water can drain out. Connect to your hose and turn on the water.
